1 business card

Procedure:

Special Directions: 

Fold and cut the card in alternate directions. Clip the center-fold lines. Pull the card open.

How could you make the card large enough to get your body inside it? 

 

Science Concept: 

These alternate cuts actually convert the square area of the card into the perimeter of a larger rectangle. To "visualize" this, think of beginning a line with the first cuts from the fold at either end. The other cuts simply continue the line. This activity is good to build spatial or depth perceptions.
