| Materials: |
- 1 business card, scissors
|
| Directions: |
- Fold and cut the card in alternate directions. Clip the center-fold lines. Pull the card
open. See illustrated directions below.
|
| Safety Concerns: |
- None.
|
| Questions: |
- Would you care to step into my card?
- How could you make the card large enough to get your body inside it?
|
| Concepts: |
- These alternate cuts actually convert the square area of the card into the perimeter of
a larger rectangle. To "visualize" this, think of beginning a line with the
first cuts from the fold at either end. The other cuts simply continue the line. This
activity is good for building spatial or depth perceptions.
